Match Report
Berkhamsted School Boys-U14B vs  RGS, High Wycombe
On: Saturday, 06 Oct 2018
Venue: Away

Berkhamsted started strongly and enjoyed much of the early possession and territory with the forwards making plenty of ground with powerful runs, However, RGS always looked dangerous on the break and a turnover from the home team on their own 22 set up their outside centre to run down the wing and score in the corner. Hector responded with an excellent penalty kick deep into the RGS 22 as Berkhamsted looked to bounce back with a try of their own from a lineout driving maul from 5m out, it was collapsed and the ball went out to the back and was unfortunately fumbled over the RGS try line. Berkhamsted kept piling on the pressure using Hector’s deep kicks into the RGS sloping corner which was challenging for the RGS Fullback and Winger to deal with.

After halftime Berkhamsted quickly bounced back with a try from Hector’s perfectly executed chip over the RGS defence for Austen to touch down. Berkhamsted lead 7-5 but RGS were putting pressure on Berkhamsted’s defence and their centre went over to score again. With 10 minutes left Berkhamsted were 10-7 down and were desperate to give it everything to try and win the game however RGS managed to get a turnover and kick the ball out after continuous Berkhamsted pressure.

Overall a great performance from Berkhamsted and unlucky to lose but it was the best we have played this season.
