Match Report
Berkhamsted School Boys-U13A vs  Hampton School
On: Saturday, 09 Nov 2019
Venue: at Home

The 13As put in a spirited performance on a brisk Kitcheners’ morning against a talented Hampton outfit. Having paused for a minute of remembrance, on the same ground where many of the fallen would have trained as officers, the Berkhamsted side continued this silence for the first ten minutes of the game and were soon behind following a lack of communication and initiative as they played out from the back. Berkhamsted’s passing was pleasing throughout, and they had more than their fair share of possession in the game. Ultimately the game was won in the penalty boxes, with Hampton having slightly more cutting edge in the final third, and slightly more robust presence in defending their own goal. Conrad S was selected as MVP for a committed defensive display alongside an impressive desire to pass out from defence. Well played, boys.
