Fives Review

What looked to be another busy week of Fives become a much quieter one with only a single fixture taking place. It was, however, pleasing that the fixture that did occur was against Cranleigh senior school who have been off our fixture card the past few years. It was a bit of an up and down match-up; the U18s had a mixed bag winning 2nd pair but losing at 1st pair. The U14s had a close match up just losing out in two straight sets, while the U18 girls dominated their match. The closest fixture came in the form of the U15s pair who ended up walking away with an honourable draw in two very close sets. It was very pleasing to see the return of two ‘Old Berkhamsedians’ in the form of Luke Hopcroft and Ella Grace-Goode both of whom left us two years and ago and last year respectively to go join Cranleigh.

This will see the beginning of the Nationals season with the U15 Girls kicking it off in their new time slot at the start of the season. We also have a large block away against Eton College for our U14s & u15s as well as a home fixture for our senior boys and girls. The 15s will also be taking part in the Hughes Cup, a three pair team tournament away at Harrow on the Sunday.
