Match Report
Berkhamsted School Boys-U12B vs  Summer Fields School
On: Saturday, 08 Sep 2018
Venue: Away

The U12B team kicked off their season with a frustrating narrow defeat at Summer Fields in what turned out to be a thoroughly entertaining game. Berkhamsted started brightly; moving the ball well and linking up effectively in the final third. We were two ahead after 10 minutes thanks to good finishes from George and Will and appeared to be coasting before being pegged back to 2-2 by half time as Summer Fields, mostly made up of U13s, start to impose themselves on their more diminutive counterparts. Things only got worse after the break with Sumer Fields stealing another two to put themselves two ahead. Jake got the final touch on a long range effort to give us a fighting chance with three minutes remaining but, try as we might, we could not sneak one more for a deserved draw. There were plenty of positives from this performance and, with a bit more work on how to move the ball into wide areas more quickly as well as a slightly more determined attitude, I am confident we will do well this season. Well done to all the boys involved.
