Berkhamsted School 3rd XI vs  Wellington College
On: Thursday, 14 Feb 2019
Venue: at Home

A sunny afternoon and some late arrivals at Chesham Road could have explained the lack-lustre display in the first half as the home side appeared to be sleeping in the sunshine.

Things improved markedly after the break, but not immediately

A few minutes into the second half Wellington sprung the offside trap, and rounded the keeper and to make it 1-0.
Two minutes later long throw from Matt Shepard from the left-hand side caused a bit of a scramble in the six yard area where Bradley Hooker finished from from 4 yards

Then Berhamsted started to take a bit more control.

A long free kick from Ben Farnell led to a glancing header from the defender and Max Shepard was first to react, running on to get a touch before the Keeper.

A few minutes later and almost a repeat of the second goal. Another long free kick missed by the defence and this time it was Eddy Gentle with time control it stick it in the back of the net

It could have been much closer but at 2-1 and 3-1 Bradley Hooker got back to make goal line clearances to keep Wellington at bay.
