Match Report
Berkhamsted School 2nd XI vs  Wellington College
On: Thursday, 14 Feb 2019
Venue: at Home

This was a second emphatic home victory in the space of a week, although the size of the deficit somewhat flattered Berkhamsted as our visitors from Berkshire missed some very presentable chances and Caimin made a number of good saves. As we welcomed back a Berkhamsted legend and the previous second team supremo in the opposition dugout, the boys made a slow start, but went ahead following a well-taken goal on the counter-attack from Harvey. As in previous weeks, the midfield continued their pleasing knack of chipping in with goals, with both Will and ‘Jimbo’ adding to their personal tallies. Harry also returned to form with a brace and looked dangerous throughout. Special mentions go to Chris L for continuing to wreak havoc from set pieces, Morgan D for his MVP performance at the heart of defence, and the great lads who continue to help in putting kit away and sweeping changing rooms (I think this is mainly Benji, Jack, and Will).

Have a restful half-term boys and let’s be ready to lift the intensity next half-term; for some, of course, this will be their last weeks of school football.
